We're doing a big stress test of the new system at work today, so I have the perfect Morning Love Live, at least title-wise! Here's Ayumu Uehara with Break The System
Pour une fois, ce sera pas du Linux, mais du Windows : le fond d’écran de cette première semaine des vacances de printemps pour la zone C (les icônes du Bureau ont été masquées) !
Bringing you some of that refreshing Alpine flavour this morning with Evergreen by Emma Verde. Lyrics video for the vibes, dance video for the entertainment :neocat_heart:
Coming out of post-con hibernation for a bit to start making posts. (Also good morning to the EDT time zone. :4504_aqua_laugh: )
Anime Boston was a lot of fun! It's been 10 years since I started going to AB, and the con still holds a special place in my heart. Last year was the first time I cosplayed Yohane, which has led to a year of fun and happiness as I've met so many great people in the local cosplay and idol communities. This year, I did way more with cosplay than ever before, and while I'm really eager to improve a lot of things, I'm also pretty proud of what I've done (and proud of the fact that I'm now dissatisfied with things that are far better than my best from a year ago.)
Some event highlights for me:
-The Queen Bee concert on Friday. Avu-chan is an incredibly talented vocalist, and this comes through even better live :mexcitedmiku:
-The idol showcase. Every group really showed their stuff. So many incredible performances, I really love watching and cheering for all the groups here.
-An excellent panel on plus-sized cosplay, with both broader perspectives on inclusivity and some great practical tips.
First cosplay pic post, I was gonna be Maki for day 0 but I was late coming out of work and forgot my wig. :TamakoLaugh: Still took a pic with it on back home though.
i'm a 19 year old mexican trans girl! (talk about a mouthful)
i'm into a variety of media, but notable ones include:
Dragon Ball
Undertale
Star Fox
Love Live!
Mega Man
Metroid
Sonic the Hedgehog
i'm of course into a bunch more, but those are the main ones...
you can probably tell- but i'm into retro games!
i also draw and make pixel art sometimes!!!
i'm open to talk- most of the time anyway~
here's my current sona:
please don't be weird about it!!!
It's Friday, and I've had a weird week, so I'm treating everyone to a double dose of my idol nonsense this morning, with two stone cold classic, thematically similar songs from each franchise.
First up, the iconic Start:Dash! by μ's for Love Live:
I finished Yohane the Parhelion: Numazu in the Mirage yesterday! I quite enjoyed it* both in terms of gameplay and story (which was sweet and appropriately emotional at the end). Despite not being a regular player of deckbuilding roguelites, I had a good time!
*other that not needing to ever hear Evil Ruby talk about Dia's toes ever again
This and the Yohane Metroidvania do make me long for a world where Love Live does more games on consoles & PC instead of the mobile world. These two are full-on console games with solid design and no scummy gacha microtransactions. Imagine if we got a story-centric Love Live non-AU game like that? (Like that idol RPG I daydreamed about on Tumblr once...)
(This is to say nothing about the Playstation port of the arcade rhythm game which, while definitely being old and only having µ's and Aqours and having its own monetization issues, is a ton of fun to play - I'd argue much more than SIF or SIFAS - and is still truckin' at least for now. Hopefully Squeenix would allow it to exist offline when they inevitably stop supporting it.)
I hope for a day when we'll have more games about the gals that let you play them on consoles and PC and not have to tap away at glass and put up with all the free-to-play mechanics to try to enjoy them.
First thing about Unit Koushien: it’s my first real major exposure to the music of the vtuber girls, and they’re great! The Cerise Bouquet, Dollchestra, and Mira-cra Park sets were so good! And they’re super good on stage. I’m impressed by how solid they already are live. #lovelive
Ending the convention with a high energy Morning Love Live! These end of episode 1 performances are always a lovely little bit of fantasy to kick off a series!
My fan fic series "Love Live! New Melody Project!!" isn't just canon Love Live characters. There's also quite a few important original characters, including a whole set of teens being school idols alongside the stories of the adult Love Live women. It's easy enough to picture older versions of canon characters, but I've always wished that you could see the OC girls as I imagined them.
Well, now you can, thanks to the incredible work of artist Amber Dill. She reached out to me about bringing the New Melody Project teens to life, and I was very excited to make it happen! I've been keeping this under wraps until it was done, and now, I can share with you her amazing work!
Say hello to the girls of New Melody Project - Saeko, Narumi, Hikari, and Miyuki!
Good morn! I'm getting on a plane tomorrow and might not have time for this, so the Morning Love Live today is a thematically appropriate Wonderful Rush!
