Our names come in all shapes! Both #fediverse projects #Streams and #Kitsune now support Unicode usernames! This is something I have been talking about since I first joined the fedi in 2017 so I am very excited about this. I can't wait till I get a mention from someone with a username like @王李 or @դմիտրիԹբիլիսի@ժայռեր
While kitsune are usually associated with Shinto and the god Inari, silver and gold foxes (known as ginko and kinko, or gingitsune and kingitsune) are servants of Dakini, a Buddhist goddess.
While I was in Japan I took so many photos at Fushimi Inari Shrine, and at other Inari Shrines, so I'm thinking of sharing them with the hashtag #DailyInari. I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with #Kitsune/#Sharkey's notes export feature. It happens too instantly to my liking. Should take a month at least. Or never.

Hey, I've been thinking about designing some first versions of moderation tools for #Kitsune. Rather begin early than tag them on too late.
I personally have some, but not too much, experience with moderating communities online (not especially at scale), so I wanted to reach out to people that have, and would like to have some input on what they would expect from moderation tools.
The needs, the "would be pretty useful" and the "oh god, I really wish but that sounds very much out there"; all of it!
We are evaluating on whether to keep Dhall as a configuration language for Kitsune or if we should abandon it for an alternative configuration format/language.
This discussion came up because the Dhall implementation we use is officially marked as unmaintained.
So we are looking for good alternatives, if anyone has some please let me know. Our current candidates are TOML and Nickel (which is a more Nix-ish configuration language; maybe we should move away from languages completely..)
