Ob jemand „geliebtes #Haustier“ oder „#Nutztier ohne Lebensrecht” ist „hat sich irgendwie ergeben“: dass #Katzen gestreichelt und #Kaninchen gegessen werden, obwohl sich beide Tierarten im Wesentlichsten nicht unterscheiden. In ihre Intelligenz, ihren Fähigkeiten und ihrer Lust, zu leben.
Heute brauchen wir uns mangels Notwendigkeit, Tiere zu essen, um selbst zu überleben, die Frage „wen streicheln, wen essen“ eigentlich gar nicht mehr stellen.

Every day, several times a day, Pax comes and sits at my feet and begs me to play her little game. She wants me to move my fingers up and down on my chair so she can pounce on them. Thankfully, for the most part, she's learned to pounce gently! 😄
Pax loves the little comfort zone I made for her in the entertainment center. Daphne has a similar one just two compartments above Pax's. Peck prefers to sleep on the very top. Sunday and Doodle have other favorite places to sleep.
