Suspended WFI Holds its Own 'Nationals', Leading to a Quandary for India's Wrestlers

Most of India's top players are giving this tournament a miss and instead attending the 'nationals' organised by the ad hoc committee set up by the Union sports minister early next month, in Jaipur.

Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Probably the most iconic spot in Jaipur, it is a former Palace. The funny thing about it is that it looks so large but there is actually nothing behind.

Another photo from Gulab Ji Chai Walla in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Like the first photo I posted, what I love about this one is that it seemed to capture life or something in motion. The sign lists the food options they offer. And then you have the man behind enjoying his snack and chai.

Gulab Ji Chai Walla in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. This stall was down an alleyway. It was very crowded and the tea was great. It was so good we went twice.

What I love about this photo is partially capture the motion or life of the place. Everyone is moving like clockwork, from the chai walla and server in the first photo to the man attempting to give his order. I also love a lot of small details like the glasses and khulads leaning the same way.

And now, some snacks and street foods in Jaipur! The first place we went to was Rawat Misthan Bhandar for Piyaz Kachori and Chili Pakora. It was raining lightly when we arrived and we wanted something a bit lighter. The place was packed with lots of people buying sweets and modaks for Ganesha Chaturthi. @seanbala is not the biggest fan of kachori but even he liked them.

A wide shot of Rawat Misthan Bhandar. There are dozens of people standing around eating and ordering at the counter.

Finally, before we left the city, we decided to get a lassi from Lassiwalla at MI Road. There were three different ones in a line next to eaachother. How to know the real one? 1) the fake ones try to entice you to stop while the real one says nothing and 2) see which one has more khulads in its bin.

Food has been great but we are looking forward to ghar ka khanna (home food) now 🤗
