I know #harem #anime have tried several resolutions (I'm still partial to polyamory but dropping the OPP would be nice). But there's others that I haven't seen but really want.

1. Multiverse. Protag-kun loves them all so much that he can emo punch the universe like Superboy Prime. Or maybe he gets so giddy thinking about it that he vibrates at another world's frequency. In one universe he winds up with his childhood friend, in another it's the transfer student, etc. Then follow the story so the viewer can watch stuff unfold differently.

1A) King Janaka's Dream is a variant of the multiverse idea but it's grounded in a Buddhist thing instead of DC Comics. You've definitely seen a reference to it before even if you don't know it by name. In the story, there's a king who goes to sleep on the eve of battle one night, when he wakes up they win but that night he goes to bed and wakes up having lost the battle and being exiled. So it goes every night when he lies down to sleep, he wakes up in the other world. Eventually Aṣṭāvakraḥ explains neither are real because all of reality is an illusion. This works better for a love triangle but I still want to see it.

2. Fusion dance. We've had all the other ladies get smushed but what if they all got smushed together instead? Fusion dance, Firestorm matrix, or Cronenberg monster all offer interesting possibilities.

I knew the entirety of what was going to happen in the #100Girlfriends scene where Shizuka confesses. I saw someone spoil it to Geoff Thew on the bird site. He included a clip of the scene when recommending the #anime. I still teared up when I saw it because it wasn't what I expected.

Scenes like that where even having the details and context spoiled don't negate the emotional impact are hard to come by. Geoff was absolutely correct that this is top tier solid gold trash. It is still a #harem anime about hypergyny with all that entails but I don't think I've met a protag-kun I've wanted to win (for non-self-insert reasons) this much before.

A simple ground-level fountain provides cool and sound to the area. The fountain is a stone pool sunk in the marble floor under the archways, with a narrow channel extending toward the center of the courtyard and carrying a steady trickle of water. The water comes out of a central spout in the pool but does not shoot up into the air.

The column has a capital sporting leaves and what looks like a shell. Above that is a band of stylized writing. The patterns are not tinted, but many portions have additional pattern within the individual leaves, etc., giving this a very impressive and detailed effect.
A lacy arched entry to the interior spaces of the harem. You can see that the upper portions of the interior are white with tint, and there may be a contrasting ceiling. The exterior surfaces here have several different swaths of pattern.
