My first Mac: We had a 512K fat mac when I was in high school. Not a 512KE; I think my mom said that it was store-upgraded from a 128K but I don't know if that was a thing.
My first real Mac was a MacPlus that I got for college. I kept that machine well into my 20s, and spray-painted it black at some point (hashtag #goth). I had a cat who liked to sleep on top of it, and when I took it apart to upgrade the memory it was full of cat hair. 😬
I'm moving to a new area soon and just realised I'll be living a few doors down from a #goth couple, and honestly it's the most reassuring thing ever! 🖤 👻
A book review I found on Youtube for a vampire book that heavily involves the gothic subculture and also takes place in the southern US (New Orleans and also Missing Mile, North Carolina). It does have a spoilery section, but they do warn you before it starts.

Felt I needed a new avatar, so I played around in my sketchbook. Don't think I'll keep it that long, as it doesn't work so well when scaled down, but I like the general idea.. Might try something similar digitally in the future.
(As one of the bandcamp commenters rightfully wrote: Goth music gets better the deeper you go into Eastern Europe or Northern Asia. Even though the lyrics might seem unfamiliar for a load of folks.)
Little end of year Art Vs Artist for you - with a little me hiding in the shadows - very on trend.
It's been a funny year, and I've struggled to find the time/energy to make much new stuff but I'm hopeful 2024 will give me more chance for my silly little linocuts.
Also wanted to say how much I appreciate all the support - honestly it all means the world.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year 🖤 #linocut#printmaker#artvsartist#art#illustration#horror#goth#spooky#creepy#newyear#2024
