#skald is just the game I've been looking for, awesome retro graphics, fantastic old school soundtrack with DnD like gameplay. Features an incredibly rich story and turn based combat. For only £13 it's an absolute steal. The only downside is it's not Linux native, but runs perfectly under wine.
@gamingonlinux I had to disabled the cloud feature, because their own game Cyberpunk 2077 produced 1.7GB of saves and they wanted me to manually delete enough saves to be under 200MB :akko_wtf2:
I just installed the #GOG version of #Fallout on my #Linux machine, using #Bottles. I've never played any of the earlier games, only Fallout 4, so this will be fun. I hope.
Seems to run fine.
Got both Fallout 1 and 2 on GOG as they are on sale there right now.

#Riven (the sequel to #Myst), one of my favorite games of all time, has a realtime 3D and #VR remake underway. It was announced recently that it's planned to ship sometime this year, and is now available to wishlist on #Steam and #GOG!

Fun fact: There is just ONE scripted scene in the trailer. The shot of the black hole at 0:07 to 0.11. The rest is all unaltered gameplay. YES, even the lack of HUD. You can just turn it off in the game settings.

@atomicpoet Thank you. Biggest resource saver was that the game is made entirely made without textures. And quite literally half its size is the music (not many tracks but each has variations for different playback options).

I have fond memories of Carmageddon. I dunno why I do have fond memories of a game that let me mass murder a bunch of civilians at a very young and tender age of 10-11.
Maybe that is why I'm not frustrated as an adult...
