Looks like the game #Sunnyside runs on Linux. I got it running on Steam anyway, without doing anything special.
Sunnyside is a #Farmsim, but a bit different compared to games like #StardewValley. There is a demo on Steam, but backers have been able to play the full (but still pre-release) game for a week or so. #GamingOnLinux#Linux#LinuxGames
I thought #Nightingale was supposed to have a #steampunk/Victorian motif. Why does crafting a basic leather-and-fiber outfit make me look like an extra in The Flintstones?
Fixed an audio routing issue with my sounds on my Rodecaster II Pro, so next stream sound effects should come in properly from my sound pags. Had to redo the routing the table in the device.
This summer I am hoping to sit down after #DEFCON and spin up my RTMP restreamer probably using AWS so I can get around to finding someplace to setup an Owncast account, not sure if I want to run my own server as that's a lot of work.
I plan to simulcast to Owncast, Twitch, Youtube, and Tiktok at the same time. And then merge all the chats on the same screen on my Linux box so I can see all of the chat on one screen. #Infosec#Cybersecurity#Gaming#GamingonLinux
@3dcandy yeah that's why I was planning to simulcast. With my Tiktok and Twitch being primary focus, Youtube would be nice but planning it as a VOD, with OwnCast or similar to attract my Fediverse audience that prefers an opensource route.
I just went through my #linux tier list on #Twitch and I know I will get some hate for this. Yes Hannah Montana Linux deserves S tier there is no debate.
@penalbatoday because of most people jumping on tails don’t use it right when things like Whonix and Qubes OS exist. Kali because same thing like back in the day they installed as root, I prefer ParrotOS over Kali
@slade yeah it's probably the best daily driving OS I've used and I've been on it since @system76 released their first LTS. I am about to upgrade to Pop!_OS 24.04 just have to make note of a few custom launch scripts I had.
I am air frying some garlic dill salmon and making basmati rice in the rice cooker, then I should be just about ready to start my #twitch and #tiktok stream. I'll work on reinstalling Qubes OS on this weekends stream as this week was crazy
Those two months of taking a break from content creation on tiktok and Twitch kind of hurt my savings for my projects as I have a separate bank account for all this.
I would really appreciate new Twitch and Tiktok subscribers and I have some items for review that I purchased that I will give honest reviews to, but also tips/donations are always appreciated
I did manage to also get a sponsor for @defcon but I will need to raise/save money for the actual DEFCON trip. You know things like food.
I plan to cover the event (without recording the public areas of DEFCON for privacy reasons) and I am trying to get a laptop stood up for a portable OBS setup next month. I physically have the laptop just need to sit down and set it up but I have to make my current OBS portable.
Any tips/donations and subscribers in the link above are appreciated
@bpavuk if they will send me one. I'll try and hit them up as I have worked with other vendors. I am still waiting on my @mntmn Pocket Reform I paid for out of my own pocket. I am seriously excited to review that one as it's been a dream.
So I may be moving my streaming PC to full time Linux. I have to do some testing but I would need to raise some money for a Magewell capture card as they do in fact have Linux support to maintain the style of my streams.
The OBSbot camera I use also supports Linux. So I’m going to try some small tests on Linux this summer but if it’s successful and we can raise a few hundred dollars, I’ll be ok with a completely Linux 2 PC stream setup.
Installed the new RAM running memtest86+ on the windows box that runs my OBS. I’ll probably stream Wednesday night as I just visited my grandfather in the hospital as he went to the ER.
I so far have been really enjoying Helldivers 2 and definitely see myself continuing to play it for the foreseeable future. It also plays extremely well on Linux with no issues. Just install from steam and Play. I did use Proton-GE as I tend to have better performance with games using it but that was it.
I'm so glad Gaming on Linux has become so easy that now I can play games with most of my friends without issues.
@billiglarper yeah so far I had one single crash in my two total days playing and streaming. But to be fair my friends on Windows also had a crash or two.
My schedule for streaming is going to be weird for the next few weeks as I am taking CISSP classes. So for the time being I will be streaming on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays as I am able to for the time being.
