So, it now transpires that in the middle of the Horizon IT debacle Paula Vennells claimed that sub-post masters were likely to be tempted to steal by having large amounts of money in their tills...
when as we now know actually it was here & her associates who were tempted to steal by fraud by covering up IT problems they were aware of.
And just in case you had forgotten Vennells has served as an Anglican priest...

Personal data and customer information may have been stolen from Japanese tech giant Fujitsu after it reported a cyberattack. The company is currently investigating how its network was compromised by malware.

The 2016 investigation trawled 17 years of records to find out how often, and why, cash accounts on the Horizon IT system had been tampered with remotely.
Ministers were told an investigation was happening.
But after postmasters began legal action, it was suddenly stopped.
The secret investigation adds to evidence that the Post Office knew Horizon's creator, Fujitsu, could remotely fiddle with sub-postmaster's cash accounts - even as it argued in court, two years later, that it was impossible.
The revelations have prompted an accusation that the Post Office may have broken the law - and the government did nothing to prevent it. Paul Marshall, a barrister who represented some sub-postmasters, said: "On the face of it, it discloses a conspiracy by the Post Office to pervert the course of justice.""
@HelenG Why are #Fujitsu still being awarded government contracts? I suspect because Fujitsu have direct links with government ministers. Whether Starmer's bunch of disciples step straight up onto the gravy train of capitalist bribery and corruption remains to be seen.

The individuals who plotted and lied against the Post Office staff should be in court - soon.
Ignore the headline - it does not reflect the real revelation of a deliberate attempt to migrate data in such a way that tampering with PO records was impossible to demonstrate in court.
Vennels was either incompotent, or covering her own arsenal or both.
