J'explore Firefish (Calckey/Misskey) et je trouve ça bien les fonctionnalités en plus mais c'est une autre application distincte de Mastodon. Pour l'instant je me suis créé un compte sur firefish.tech pour explorer mais j'hésite à migrer car, si je le faisais, je perdrais accès à Ivory 😞 Ce n'est peut être même pas possible de migrer de Mastodon vers Firefish en utilisant les outils intégrés ? Quelqu'un l'a déjà essayé ?

@odiofill j'ai fait de même sur la même instance que vous il y a quelques jours. Il semble que #Firefish supporte déjà l'api de Mastodon et serait utilisable avec les apps dédiées au mamouth. J'ai pas encore essayé. Pour la migration, Mastodon ne semble pas pouvoir exporter le contenu alors que Firefish le peut. Mais il est possible de migrer le reste comme d'un serveur Masto à un autre (listes de followers et following par exemple).

@csolisr #Misskey means nothing to me. I know it from a little bit #fediverse stuff. But fish and fire, I know. And #Firefish sound much more interesting as #Misskey. So thank you for the fish and let us see what happens.😀

Bon j’arrête mes tentatives d'install aussi ... rien qui fonctionne, le git (codeberg) met 5min à répondre a un git clone, les tickets sont fermé ... c'est un peu très mal gérer leur histoire, un canal matrix c'est pas fait pour du support donc non merci ...

Bref le machin arrive pas build ... bref ... pas de Firefish pour le moment.

    I should add for completeness that the existing registrations do not exactly match the provision of social networking software and services and some relevant activities in classes 38 and 45 are not registered at all, but the existing protection is broad (in particular for class 9, but this may be more a risk for the project itself, not the individual server) and close enough to consider the legal risk - a specialist lawyer will be able to do so. #calckey #firefish #trademark

    @Shinra à ce que j'ai vu passer hier, il semble que comme Calckey, #Firefish est vraiment plus léger avec moins de ressources nécessaires que Mastodon. Mais ça reste plus exigeant que Plemora.

    I totally ignored the instance word.

    I am actually getting ready to go into terminal and set one up one up right now. Terminal is loading. Waiting for my #parkinsons meds to kick in so I don't twitch click something and mess the install up. I hate that.😂

    If I am successful, #FireFish can say, 'It's so easy even Paul installed it.' 😜 lol

    It's the same login credentials. So, if you are on Calckey.social, you log into with those.

    I have an older account there just to dip my toes in the water. @oldfriends @oldfriends

    Right now they are having an ssl certificate issue so addresses not working in Mastodon.

    @AudraTran @firefish what it means is that Calckey as a brand name is changing to #Firefish, with a new flagship instance, new code repository etc.. If you're not an admin it shouldn't change anything for you 😉

    @atomicpoet @fediversenews before last fall, I didn't even know what really was the fediverse. Then I discovered #Mastodon and I've seen some time after that the difference between the network and the protocol which are based on so many platforms in this universe. Journalists have to look at far more than centralized networks and make an effort to understand what is the #fediverse.

    I'm kind of tempted to find a games related instance to join that doesn't use Mastodon & instead uses Misskey or Calckey/Firefish as some of their features appeal to me more.

    I just need to dig around and see which instances might click with me, which is always the trick in this space.
