🟥⬛ Within our collection, we proudly house three rare household computers, the Oric Nova 64, specifically adapted for the Yugoslavian market from the Oric Atmos (Tangerine Computer Systems, 1984). One of these units is particularly fascinating due to its inclusion of engraved Yugoslav (YU) characters. 😍

✉🏔 A commemorative postage stamp featuring the Iskra Delta Triglav computer, which is part of our collection, was issued in 2016 by the Post of Slovenia in collaboration with the Faculty of Computer and Information Science and the Philatelic Association of Slovenia.😍
The ID80 standalone computer.
The Iskradata 80, a distributed computer system developed and manufactured in 1979 and 1980 in Slovenia, featured a Z80 processor, two 256-kB floppy disk drives, and a printer. Distributed processing allowed database access on the network. Computers could work independently or in a network of up to 16, connecting via RS-232 and using sync/asyn protocols for transfers.
After more than a year of online collaboration under the umbrella of the 🚪#Doors_digital_museum_incubator we finally meet face to face just as our pilot digital museum projects are about to go live at the end of the month 🚀! @arselectronica festival was an inspiring trip for the team, we will be back next year.
Let's learn how to read hole-punched IBM EBCDIC cards! 😎 An example card in the image contains the data also printed in a line at the top. The data is written literally and can be easily interpreted using the table provided at https://gen5.info/$/LU0NS2XPG8MDVCVZS/. Have you succeeded?
We warmly invite you to visit us at our location on Celovška cesta 111 in Ljubljana! Our opening hours are as follows: Thursdays and Fridays from 16:00 to 20:00, and Saturdays from 10:00 to 16:00. Please note that the museum remains closed on Sundays and during all public holidays.
Yesterday I arrived in Rijeka (Croatia) and started my archival research at the PEEK&POKE #ComputerMuseum today with an exhaustive visit of the hardware collection. There are a lot of (former) jugoslawian, sovjet, polish and other #HomeComputer systems from around the world. Many of them are in running condition (since the exhibiton is "hands-on").
Maintenance at @ComputerHistory. I fixed high-speed rewind on the vintage IBM 729 tape drive. It pulls the tape out of the columns, fast-rewinds most of the way, puts the tape back in the columns, and finishes with slow rewind (video). But that's not what was happening before...
