Simple Mushroom

I was out hiking, working my way to the top of a hillside overlooking the damn at Lake Berryessa. It
turned out to be much warmer than expected and I didn't have much water with me so I turned back.
On my way back down I spotted this lone little mushroom off the side of the trail so I spent some time working on this image. I hope you enjoy it.

Merced River Rapids

The Merced River cuts right down the middle of Yosemite Valley. As the water travels westward out of the valley it starts to pick up steam. In just a short distance Vernal Falls, Yosemite Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls all converge. Just shortly after that the valley drops and the river picks up steam. The roar of the river is amazing.
