It's only 6pm and I'm in my comfy clothes already. I started my day at 3am, had an extended family breakfast from 8:30-10am, cleaned the house, replaced some window screens, and cut and trimmed the lawn. Basically, a day of adulting, my battery is running low. I hear bacon sizzling in the pan, so at least there's that. 🥓

I got some really good tight-sealing trash cans that control the smell very well, except they're SO well sealed that the inside is like...nuclear. Tried spraying one down on the inside with some Method cleaner and didn't seem to matter much. Airing it out with the windows open, also limited effect.

Getting up and into the office early gives me a great sense of accomplishment. But it's not even in the ballpark of how good hitting snooze and lying in bed another ten minutes feels...
My mother & sister sold their house & are downsizing a bit. They're going through old photos & found one of me, my sister & my dad from my hs graduation, 1992. That was one of the last times I was happy to see him. We were estranged for 16 years before he passed, and only spoke very occasionally before that. He didn't come to my wedding. And he didn't acknowledge either son's birth.
I would never abandon my kids. I think he's such an asshole for doing that to me.
Just bit my swollen lip again. Because I'm chewing gum. Because I'm trying to quit nicotine. My lip has been bitten so many times. Because my teeth have sharp edges to them. Because I have hundreds of dollars in dentist bills coming up, and I'm unemployed. #adulting
Finally sort of human again after > a week of being so sick and ready-not-ready to get back to work... but I also just had a good idea for a novel, so well just have to see how the day goes.

Ok, I’ve got a weird question to #AskFedi. The hardwood floors in our main living area needed to be refinished five years ago and we only moved in two years ago. We know they need to be completely refinished, but that’s not happening this year. What can I use to clean and protect my well-used floor? A few areas that had previous rugs are still slippery with polyurethane, all of the pathways have all the finish completely worn away, and the rest of the floor is in-between but definitely past its prime. It’s nice to walk on, but a dust mop snags often.
I feel like the answer is going to be an old brand of soap or some kind of citrus oil, but internet searches have turned to such shit. #cleaning#housekeeping#adulting
