Opened this up for the first time in ~6 years. I stopped playing completely when I left the Army in 2009.
I bought this in 1983, I think (with a little help from Mom & Dad). My first — and only — professional Horn. The detachable bell is in the top half of the case, out of sight. It's a Yamaha YHR-862: a big bore, big throated Kruspe wrapped Horn. Perfect for Concert Band or a large Orchestra (Mahler), when you need to project.
Some initial thoughts from the Austin #MotoGP race. About an imperious performance by a mercurial rider, about the hype being real, and about the factories in trouble. Including one you weren't expecting.
Details, repercussions and thoughts on Fabio Quartararo staying with Yamaha. What it means for Jorge Martin and the prospects of a Yamaha satellite squad.
The final part of 2024 MotoGP season preview is up. And it is by far the most interesting topic this year. How do Honda and Yamaha come back from a disastrous 2023? How much work have they done, and how much is left?
With earlier rumours that Fermín Aldeguer was on the verge of signing for Pramac Ducati, I took a look at how that migh impact the 2025 rider line up, and how the rest of MotoGP's silly season might play out. Who is out and who might be in for next season.
There's gonna be so much new & cool guitar gear out of #NAMM in the next week, but nothing is gonna have me excited as #Yamaha finally revamping their Pacifica range of #guitars.
I thought I’d try and open my really old #yamaha PSR-500 synth keyboard. It stopped working and I wanted to see if maybe a capacitor had blown and it would be an easy fix. Or I could salvage some interesting #electronics from it.
After removing 30+ screws in the base I can almost get the base off, except it seems to be really stuck along the edge where the keys are. Not sure what’s going on.
