The greatest Cortex Community zine in the world, delivering five high-octane articles of concentrated Cortex RPG goodness, is now available for download.
Cortex Lite, the lightest, tightest, big-bang-in-a-little-book complete Cortex game, is alongside it, downloadable from itch.io.
Reshares, here and elsewhere, vastly appreciated! :D
What's a sparkly new generic game without a new example setting to try it out with? Jeremy's article, Group Chat of the Damned, gives us character creation for vampires, werewolves, and witches that works with Cortex Lite. These recreate a certain gaming vibe that some of you may fondly remember, and they're primed to get dropped directly into all sorts of fun urban horror mayhem and drama!
A lot of narrative RPGs have trouble doing tactical crunch/positioning, but since Cortex RPG is built to be modded with modular rules, it can kill that kind of gameplay for groups who want it.
If your more tactical players zone out during action scenes, zone them back in with 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙕𝙤𝙣𝙚 by @rivetgeek
