In the game, one of the protagonist's tasks will be to collect flora and fauna biomaterial. After collecting the samples, they can be viewed in the inventory. Maybe there will be a mechanics - mixing and testing samples properties

I’m looking for a couple of games to play on PS5 or Switch

  1. one game along the lines of Recettear or Moonlighter

  2. another that’s a rogue-lite like Hades but maybe with more persisted progression

Good morning and happy Friday #Fediverse

Let me hear what your day will consist of today and what you might have planned for the weekend ahead.

It's work stuff today as usual which isn't too busy as things have finally calmed down since our major release of Nova 8 a couple of weeks ago.

I started Ghost of Tsushima this morning, so more of that later as well as Fortnite with friends. Nothing much for the weekend yet.

And with that… I’m done with Octopath Traveler 2. I know there’s some post-final chapters epilogue story and boss, but after 80 hours, I think I’m done. I’m beat.

Score: C+

Good: Combat and graphics.

Bad: Random battles, short dungeons, 1000 boss fights, fractured story lines, & annoying party management.

Just added a mechanic of grabbing and throwing objects to the hero to see how the anomaly would play dodgeball with me ;)

Hey and folks. What are you playing / streaming at the moment, and should I check it out?

My current playlist includes Crow Country and Manor Lords for review, and Tenchu and Horizon Zero Dawn for fun.

I know it's weird... but it's indiedev. It so happened that the Erra: Exordium game for Nintendo will have two release dates. The game is already on sale today for the American region, for others on May 23

In 2023, McDonald's in China released a special Tetris LCD handheld that is shaped like a chicken nugget. For some reason, this was the tie-in for the 40th anniversary of the Chicken McNugget.

I wanted it immediately.

But, as I did not live in China and knew no one who could import such things for me at the time, I could not. So, I waited.

At Magfest, earlier this year, I saw this prize sitting on a shelf, mocking me. At nearly 50 bucks, I was tempted, but unwilling to buy it.

I forgot about it for a while when 7-Eleven announced their own new Tetris tie-in handheld, this time on a Slurpee cup. It reminded me of my long wanted chicken nugget handheld.

I went to eBay and found someone with a relatively high rating, selling them for less than 15 USD including shipping. So, I bought one. That was early April.

It arrived this week.

It's as beautiful as I expected.

No, but seriously, it's a functional LCD handheld that you can play Tetris on. It's adorable. It is literally easier to play Tetris on this, than on my phone.

Also, it's classic mode so if there is not space for the Tetromino block to do spin - it won't spin.

Anyway - short version: I imported for myself the Chicken McNugget Tetris game and it's silly fun.

Photograph of a plastic framed Chicken McNugget toy with an LCD screen and buttons on it. Beneath it is a McDonald's sticker sheet. This is all sitting on a blue and grey tablecloth.
Collage of two photographs stacked vertically with a thick, white border around everything. Both photographs show a plastic framed Chicken McNugget toy with an LCD screen and buttons on it in a white person's hand. The screens are on in both cases. The image on the left shows a "T" in the center with the McDonald's logo in the corner and a level of 88 with a score of 9999. The image on the right shows a z-shaped block falling with a score of zero on Level 1 with the same McDonald's logo in the corner.

Y’all. We’re doing it. I took out all the test data, put in the Real Stuff, and I’m testing the full game. It’s fun! I also have a bug list as long as my arm now.

casual reminder that video games & real world politics do not mix and should not mix

i cannot believe this needs to be fucking said. keep politics out of video games.

i don't care who's side you're on politically. we're here to have fun. not to flaunt our dicks all willy-nilly about who we think is right or wrong.

this post came from an osu map someone posted of an israeli song, and holy shit the comments just EXPLODED with unnecessary, unwanted & unfilitered political blabberings about "free palestine", "israel is a terrorist', whatever the fuck, you get the idea.

osu, !!!! or any other game for that matter !!!!, is not the place to discuss your political beliefs. take your dumb bullshit elsewhere.

So, given the kinda joke about people hating phone calls, yet using voice chat in games, I can't help wondering what people's preferences may be on chatting in games.

When you play online games, which do you lean towards when it comes to text/voice chat, or other options I didn't fit here, contextual pinging (e.g. Apex Legends), emotes, or voice/chat commands (e.g. Team Fortress 2/AoE 2)?

Repost/boost as you will, curious about this!

In case you missed it, running a poll to get a rough idea of how people prefer to communicate in online games.

Will start a little series here about me browsing this Club Nintendo issue from July 1995 (Nintendo Power in the US). 📖

I explicitly bought this one recently because I have so fond childhood memories. It must have been one of the few I owned and therefore read endless times. I still remember so much of the content and now I'm excited to refresh these memories.

The cover shows Asterix & Obelix, a PAL exclusive game series. 🐗

Second article is about Yoshis Island. 🏔️

I remember being overwhelmed by the colorful graphics. I only owned a Game Boy at this time and imagined how much fun it would be to play such a graphically impressing game. Unfortunately my friends didn't own a SNES neither, so it remained an imagination for a long time.

Although you never could play most of the games presented in such magazines even reading the articles and imagine playing it was fun.

Third entry is about the PAL exclusive cover story game Asterix & Obelix for SNES.

I owned the quite similar Game Boy version at the time and still remember the hard Rugby level shown on these pages. 🏉
I barely made it above this level and remember some kind of snow level afterwards where I was stuck again due to lacking knowledge of the sprint capabilities. 🏔️

Did you play the Game Boy or SNES version and have any memories of the rugby level?
