That's by far my favourite (it might be my favourite game track of all time, that's how much I love it), but it's probably good that that's out of the way. I think I'll pick 3 this time b/c I like fighting games too much, & I want to also introduce people to at least 1 they've likely never heard:
And because I'm a huge King of Fighters fan and Kyo is my best/favourite character, this is "Esaka?" which is his/team Japan's theme which has been remixed several times, but my favourite is the iconic one from KoF 1996 that established the main parts of the song that would be redone over and over afterwards... also it just sounds great... I can bop out to it forever
And here's a track from my favourite fighting game of all time, Capcom vs SNK 2, "This is True Love Makin'". Music is really important to me in video games, so it's not surprising that my favourite fighting games all have great music (imo anyways). I'm also extremely good at this game >_>
This week for #VGMWednesday hosted by @miona the theme is #WholesomeWaters. As an old-school #SonicTheHedgehog fan, my mind went immediately to the music from Aquatic Ruin Zone from Sonic 2 for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive.
It's a mashup of "September" and "Tokyo Daylight" from Persona 5. Download and SoundCloud links are in the description.

Today I'm listening to the Front Mission: Gun Hazard OST for the first time. I've never played the game, but it's a side-scrolling mech shooter with RPG elements, which sounds pretty cool to me!
The music in Front Mission: Gun Hazard was composed by Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Junya Nakano, and Masashi Hamauzu. That's a pretty powerful team! It's also Masashi Hamauzu's first credit–he later composed for FF13, FF7R, and many other Square titles.
