TIL: you can copy internal links from Apple Notes to and they keep working (even cross platform)

A screenrecording demonstrating to copy a link from apple notes to another note in apple notes to todoist will open the note from todoist

my setup and usage is kind of a double-edged sword. while nothing slips through it is a bit complicated and hard to maintain (I need a good amount of time for my weekly reviews).

Stats from my current setup:
projects: 67
labels: 13
tasks: 605

I want to streamline it - do you have any tips to approach this?

If you use #Todoist also for repeating tasks that e.g. are done with a shortcut (digital cleanups / check something online,…) This neat little shortcut might help you to remove some clicking. It allows you to complete a task with a given ID.

https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/2879a75d9254438fac9fbdaac0c5c93a

I use that to e.g. open my Play Channels Section to triage them there. No need to complete the task in todoist afterwards (see the screenshot)

If you can make use of it let me know - if you have questions, too :)

Well, this is something I don't see every day.

Do you use TickTick, Todoist or something else entirely?

@Taffer@mastodon.gamedev.place avatar

I might have to install Snap on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed so I can use Todoist, I'm having trouble with the AppImage version.

One of the points of trying OpenSUSE was to avoid Snap, because I don't like how they integrate with other apps in the system.

Dang it.

I really would like to use simple no-bullshit tools that do their job effectively. Best examples are applications. I've used , which allowed me to change background (why?), but hat problems with synchronizing. Currently I am using , which comes with lots of additional stuff I don't like, for example a productivity feature or "intelligent" text recognition instead of just a date picker.

Mein neuer Ansatz:

• Mailpostfach mit Kalender & Aufgaben (DSGVO konform & verschlüsselt)
• caldav für
auf dem Desktop
& auf dem phone incl. widgets

Läuft gut, ist aber komplex.

@geerlingguy I really love the natural text recognition from . Having around 280 tasks neatly tidied and handled with getting things done across work, house and personal stuff. Project documentation stored elsewhere

Kennt da jemand was?

Came back to look at tonight to see how it stacks up against . Natural language date recognition when entering a new task was promising, but lo and behold - task reminders are a paid feature!! I shit you not. Walking away again. Why do so many people like this basic-ass bollocks app?

since I personally use I modified @viticci ThingsBox to work with Todoist instead of Things. It directly adds tasks via the REST API so an internet connection is required. Thanks to Federico for the great Shortcut!

Gonna spend the rest of this year evaluating a few task management options as my #Todoist subscription expires in a few weeks.

#ClickUp, #Superlist and #TickTick are my main options, thus far. Any others I should consider?

I've noticed a few glitches in the new Todoist UI. Most are no big deal, but one is a bit annoying.

A filtered list I have set for home view doesn't automatically reload when I launch the desktop app.

No big deal. Two clicks, and the list reloads.

Somehow, classical to-do lists quite often don't cut it for me. I need more status information, at least to distinguish in-progress tasks from those not even started quickly. Are there some lightweight tools for my personal that satisfy a deep love for polished interfaces and a good UX?

Evaluating "" now, which has a -style board view (albeit lacking corresponding automations and fancy stuff like swim lanes or WIP limits, which I personally don't use anyway) and some really great shortcuts to enter labels, priorities or due dates.

A while ago I created some @drafts Actions to crosslink Craft documents with tasks in #Todoist #Things or #Omnifocus. Those got hit by stricter parameter checking in one of the recent Updates and didn't work anymore.
If you're still want to use these actions please download the newest version from the dirctory (links below)

Todoist has a new layout (beta). Not radically different. They've consolidated most of the options to one side instead of along the top. I like it.

An update on ditching #Obsidian for #Todoist as my #TaskManagement app. I realised now what effort it was to update tasks on each individual project page. On Todoist, I just have to click on a folder I label "This week" or "Today" to see what tasks I need to do for the week/day. If I need to shuffle it around, it's just a drag & drop action. Having it on my mobile was also really helpful.

PS: Obsidian is still my #PKM & #journaling choice

@cyberjunkie @liztai offers two way sync with Google calander. So you can use calender for planing and Todoist to organize and handle tasks.
