I always loved #twins, and #Elrond and #Elros have a special place in my heart - I wonder when Elros made his choice, and I like the take that it did so when both were still fairly young. I imagine it must not have been easy 💔
It took me a while to paint a Maglor I was satisfied with, but I'm pretyt happy with the result <:
I hope you like it too! 💙
PS: I appreciate that my elves (especially the Noldor) aren't very flashy - they have no circlets, or jewels, or shiny robes. This is bc I'm trying to focus more on the basic features, and the lovely viewers can imagine all the extras they like <: Think of paper dolls, but 2D 🙈
PS: is Celegorm supposed to have gold hair, or silver hair? I'm not sure, but since I already painted a golden version, it was time to try my hand at silver <;
And it’s time to resume reading Star Wars - The New Jedi Order: Agent of Chaos I, Hero’s Trial, by James Luceno. Last year I tried to read this book at least three times, but Luceno’s unnecessary verbiage bothers me too much. It is one thing for you to pay attention to the details (and run the risk of being called verbose). Another thing is that you put several alien words and expressions that contribute nothing to the narrative. 1/4 #starwars#swnjo#newjediorder#books@bookstodon
@zozo@bookstodon I was here thinking about other books to think about this criticism. Then I realized that I’m used to reading Tolkien’s The Silmarillion and History of the Middle-Earth (which can be seen as a pain in the 😝😜🥳). The Silmarillion is, by the way, one of my favorite books and notably written in a very difficult way. But it seems to me that, with regard to the style, there is a clear function of emulating a text of biblical content. #tolkien#thesilmarillion#books
#Elves are cool in #fantasy. if you think they're snooty and their only trait is being better than you then I encourage you to read #theSilmarillion because no they're not
I feel like the reaction to Tolkien elves is based on people's reaction as perceived only through the LOTR movies.
