If you somehow managed to get out of bed on this cold, wet, windy Sunday, the very epitome of Ugly Autumn, you may not feel any strength to do anything sensible, just stare out at the window at the grey outside on @Carex's #SlowSunday:
For this #SlowSunday by @Carex I present you the first Doom/Sludge Metal song I ever encountered (only around 2014-ish, shame on me), and which immediately made me fall in love with the genre:
Welcome everybody to #SlowSunday 🤘
Today with Gemini by Elder. When I saw them live for the first time it was a horrible day for me. But after a while they made everything alright again! Afterwards I had to buy a album on vinyl and chose Dead Roots Stirring. It's so wonderful and every time I'm listening to this record I feel good again. I would say it's a #StonerMetal album. Their songs today are more like #ProgressiveRock
After a long brake on my part I greet you again to a new #SlowSunday 🤘
For today I have a song where it's lyrics might trigger discomfort, anxiety or even anger in some folk. But for me it is very comforting. It's like a strong confirmation for my own feelings and beliefs.
Larvae - Monolord
I love the guitars in this song so much! But I was only listening to the whole album once. In general Monolord's music is to (hehe) monotonous for me. 😁
After a homemade double double cheeseburger, I'm slow enough for @Carex's #SlowSunday (tho not sure if this tag is still alive, please wink if you're OK):
How much time are you willing to spend listening to just one song?
Less than a minute? You're a grindcore person. That's OK.
5 minutes? Longer than a pop song, average for metal in general. That is OK, too.
10+ minutes? Some kind of prog, one that requires focus, but that's still OK.
But what if it's longer?
What if it's siginificantly longer?
That's a tour de force, one worthy of @Carex's #SlowSunday. Put your catheter in.
Fresh pickins, featuring Lyra Heroica, one of my favorite 19th century books of #poetry. It's the book where William Ernst Henley's Invictus (my favorite poem) can be found.
I also like having a quick glance list of the hashtags popular within the metalhead and friends on my mobile and thought I'd share in case it's of use to you too 🙂
I update it when necessary and this is the latest version *

@crossgolf_rebel you know instead of being rude you can always choose the nice person path and help other users out a bit, though.
@Kitty feel free to copy the alt text from the images I attached. The detect text from image feature works quite well in the web client, it just needs some manual formatting afterwards.
