I was looking around to see if anyone is making a decent small (7"-8") tablet running Linux when I realized that no one is even making a good small tablet running Android. (Amazon and Samsung small tablets are not good...)
It's a reminder that Google once sold a GREAT small Android tablet, the Nexus 7 -- and like so many things the company has produced, killed it off in a fit of boredom or stupidity.
Lenovo's #Android#tablet line is decent and includes an 8 inch model (as does #Samsung). Amazon's Fire tablet line has 8 inch models that also perform well but require some tweaking for the full Google Play Store experience.
I have often switched operating systems on my laptops. I don't know how to do that on another one of my computers, viz a #Samsung Galaxy A22. But the makers of the OS it's currently running are pushing a new version that is too heavy for the hardware in the machine. Planned obsolescence. Is there a firm in Stockholm that will install the smartphone equivalent of #linux on my A22?

10 lat temu to było łatwo. Był sobie telewizor #Samsung i wystarczyło podłączyć do niego pendrive i można było oglądać co się chciało w najpopularniejszych formatach.
Teraz podłącza się do nowoczesnego telewizora tej samej marki i nie działa. Nie ma żadnego komunikatu, nic. W innym telewizorze jakieś no-name’owej chińskiej marki z #AndroidTV nie ma najmniejszego problemu z odtwarzaniem z tego samego pendrive’a.

Hin und wieder schafft es das #Linux scheinbar nicht, die SSD korrekt in den Standby zu fahren.
Dann wird sie sehr warm (ca. 50 Grad) und saugt meinen Akku über Nacht leer.

Since I didn't take my Samsung phone to India, guess what happened? I forgot the damn password again. Which means I'll have to erase it again and set it up again. Why does Samsung insist that I need to ad a letter to an already complicated password that has punctuation and numbers in it? I've used it on all my iPhones and Android phones since I got the capability of adding anything other than pins on both operating systems. This Samsung behavior is user-hostile.
@joplinapp your app is awesome, but is there any option to create a shortcut or widget for new note on Android devices? I've tried to use #samsung#modesandroutines and there is a handle for that action and for creating new task, but I'm just redirected to app main view...

Pierwsza myśl? Spamują przypadkowe aliasy #Gentoo, więc załapałem się na kilka kopii.
Ale nieee. Ta sama osoba wysłała trzy identyczne maile. Drugi 2 godziny po pierwszym, a trzeci — minutę później. Wygląda to bardzo profesjonalnie.
Może powinienem odpowiedzieć i poprosić o trzy odrębne oferty pracy.
Parlando di #emulatori non morti, forse saprete che ne esistono tipo solo 2 che emulano il #NintendoDSi (oltre alla versione base del #NDS), e #melonDS è quello che funziona meglio. 💫️
Mi sta essendo utile l’ #emulazione#DSiWare per controllare cose e catturare schermate sulla #FotocameraDSi senza dover per forza usare la #console reale, per quell’articolo che sto finendo*. Però, per quello non mi serve davvero scattare foto, e quindi mi è stata comoda la funzione per impostare come flusso della camera immagini salvate sul PC (Config > Camera Settings > Image file), che avevo generato al volo con Bing AI per averne della tipologia che mi serviva e con un’aspetto un po’ stock, dimostrative appunto. 🎁️
Preparate il #firmware DSi (che vi consiglio di scaricare da qui, è il dump che uso io e confermo che funziona) da dare all’emulatore, creando due cartelle separate per i file DS e #DSi, e rinominando i file in modo preciso, altrimenti la #app si lamenta:
biosdsi7.bin => dsi/bios7.bin
biosdsi9.bin => dsi/bios9.bin
biosnds7.bin => nds/bios7.bin
biosnds9.bin => nds/bios9.bin
dsfirmware.bin => nds/firmware.bin
dsifirmware.bin => dsi/firmware.bin
dsinand.bin => dsi/nand.bin
Fate “Boot firmware > DSi”, da lì si può avviare la magica #applicazione fotografica, date il permesso quando richiesto, e se tutto va bene potete godere. ❤️🔥️
