I #read Claimed by the Barbarian Warlords by Charmaine Ross (#book 1/Stolen Planet). I think it’s great when FMCs assert & fight for their own agency, but the burden of assholery behavior that provokes the fight for independence often rests on the MMC(s) in that plot line. I #read Snowed In With A Dragon by Sara Ivy Hill. This Christmas #book of a sweet stalkerish dragon who waits for his girl until her boyfriend cheats on her is a little red-flaggy if you want your #romance to be perfectly socially acceptable. I #read When She’s Shy by Ruby Dixon (Sept 2023). This short #book from the Risdaverse is a 52 pg F/F delight. Please don’t let that scare you off if you are a straight cis person. This is the first time I know of that Dixon has openly written lgbt main characters, one of which clearly has an anxiety disorder. I stayed up Way Too Late last night #reading Little Dove by Layla Frost. There are a couple of 🚩TWs in this casino owner #romance - he abducts her before her 18th birthday and murders her deadbeat father. But he doesn’t touch her or ask her to call him Daddy until she’s 18 (barely). No age play, he’s just a straight up obsessive control freak.
