Anyone have experience with IntelliJ? I'm learning Java, and I copied the JDK file to the project folder, and now I can't find the "new class" option. Send help plz!

Okay perhaps that was incorrect. I went to the project structure to specify SDK and I still can't create a new class. I hate my life.

By easier I suppose I should clarify that I know what I'm doing. But I can't figure out how to do one tiny little thing so I can't even deliberately produce error messages per the book's suggestion OMG

Documented limitations to my next math homework platform:

  • I can’t create graphs or plot points on number line
  • I can’t show my work
  • Not relevant to me, but if I were a Literature student, I wouldn’t be able to submit essays through the platform

What? How is this possible and how is this considered accessible?

@devinprater Yeah I'm fine, thanks for asking. It was just a little unexpected. I just had to clean up and change my clothes. Coffee didn't splash too much on my bare skin, thankfully

@devinprater No plans to upgrade my iPhone 13. Spend your money on something that works for you. Avoid the Black Friday promos if you plan on financing, unless you read the fine print.

I wish people would give visa gift cards instead of Amazon gift cards as compensation for my participation in a study. Or, at the very least, I wish participants could choose. I’d rather not be compensated at all because I just don’t shop on Amazon. The bright side is that I can just give them to my niece or whatever so I don’t have unused gift cards sitting in my account or inbox. That’s it, that’s the pointless post.

@devinprater I’m going to give the one I’m earning tomorrow to a content creator who has an Amazon wishlist of food and household items to support her work. It’s just too much work to figure out how to spend them. I don’t have a prime subscription—and I’m not going to start now.

One of these days, I'm gonna get good at doing the Emoji stuff on my phone. I just, like, why would some one spend seconds going to a whole new keyboard, and fidning an Emoji in that big long list, or hitting a search box and typing what they're looking for? Like I feel like it'd take me a long time. I do kinda wish there was a way to just do that quickly in Braille, like hit a command and type "smile" in Braille, hit Enter, and "arrow" through results, kinda like the app search on the home screen we have now.

@sarajw Yes! I am so happy that I can feel what I draw. It lowers my frustration levels significantly. In my mind, it’s like crocheting vs. knitting: If you make a mistake when crocheting—and you don’t catch it until later—you can easily pull out the stitches.

As for the cutouts — that is a feature of the sensational blackboard. There are times when I’ll want the cutout, but times when I don’t. I was actually a little worried because I could tear the paper where I drew the number line if I wanted to. I need to learn to be a little more intentional about when I want to cut out a shape and when I want a textured sketch… Must experiment with different papers. 🤔
