Families say a shortage of education assistants and a lack of funding from the Ministry of Education has left many #StudentsWithDisabilities with very few supports in school.
Despite introduction of #InclusiveEducation, the Montenegrin educational system doesn't provide #EqualOpportunities for education to everyone. Sofija Ivanović, a talented 1st yr student of the secondary school Gymnasium in Podgorica & Nikola Zekić, who holds a master’s degree in ethnomusicology, emphasize the #RightToEducation is a fundamental #HumanRight. However, their experience shows that realizing this right is a challenge for generations of #PeopleWithDisabilities.
CM Siddaramaiah said that dressing and food habits were personal concerns and added, "You wear whichever dress you want to. You eat whatever you want. It is your right to consume food of your choice."
