In my ongoing search for missing game boxes in my childhood home, I've found a large bag of N64 game boxes and instruction manuals (I gave the N64 itself and all the cartridges away to someone, many, many years ago.) Given that there's presumably N64 collectors who have cartridges but no packaging, I wonder if there's an interest in these. I'll post the list if anyone is curious!
All of my friends owned a PS1 but I went for the N64 because I wanted to play Mario Kart 64 and nothing else. 😆
I played many PS1 games on my friend's consoles. That way I experienced the birth of fundamental game series like Tekken, Gran Turismo, Silent Hill, Resident Evil or GTA. :underheart:
Did you also have to make a choice for one of the two consoles? Which one did you pick and why? 🤔
Somewhere around 2010 software performance starting sliding backwards and it’s only accelerating backwards (like a Mario speedrun). Even on my crappy 7th Gen Intel laptop games from 2010 not only perform better but look better than any indie-dev’s #Unity project made to look like the #N64 in the year of our Lord 2023. I used to emulate N64 on an 800MHz single-core single-thread Pentium 3

Nintendo 64 classic Super Mario 64 gets a gorgeous remake
Booted up a classic for the first time in forever… I’d like to claim credit, but it was 100% my dad when I was a kid. He would whistle after I went to bed and I would “sneak” watch him play. One of my favorite memories growing up. Legend.
