#GreatAlbums1980s - #Marillion – Misplaced Childhood (1985). One of my favorite concert memories is seeing Marillion play a medium Ontario show bar sometime in the late 80s. The house P.A. broke down, so the group members grabbed acoustic guitars and tambourines, turned the still-working monitors to the crowd, and continued the show. Impressive as Marillion's stamina was the way the songs – minus the amps, electricity, and cascading synths – still worked. That's musicianship.

Hmmmm, #Marillion doing a few dates in November, with one near me (Wolves). I could be tempted out to see them for the first time in years.
STCBM left me cold, and FEAR was a slow burner, but An Hour Before It’s Dark was an absolute banger I missed the tour for out of COVID fears.
Jesus, I’ve just realised it’s 15 years since I last saw them live, touring Happiness Is The Road (which I also didn’t enjoy, likely a major contributing factor) 😳
