Just like environmental impact assessments done before building a road or a dam🌳, Internet impact assessments tell you if policies are going to damage the Internet.🌐
We can use them to hold governments and organizations accountable & stop the #fragmentation of the Internet.

Lol Cox Internet customer service is the pits. Every time. I think they are trained to end the call as soon as possible without addressing the customer question honestly.
Me: Is IPv6 available to me?
Cox: Your modem/router doesn't support it.
Me: You sure? My documentation says it does.
Cox: Let me check (again). It does! Congratulations!

#Reddit has stooped to a new low. Deleted comments are being undeleted.
I used a third party tool before they were all shut down to edit and then delete all of my comments and posts. Thousands of comments. They're all back now.
I've confirmed with others that this is happening. I have even seen a video where manual deletion was undone. They are refusing to remove content now.

Last night and this morning pulled together Python code to allow me to make a local archive of Wikipedia pages. Started with the Level 4 Vital articles, and now adding code which pulls in the top 100 most viewed articles each day. We'll see how it progresses. Been a fun little diversion.
@trick#Wikipedia seems like the kind of website that would be great to have #replicated across the #internet. Like, everyone has a small piece of it stored on their device and a lot of people share some of the same pieces, just in case. Every time you connect to the internet, your device checks to see if your piece has been update in the official, centralized system. If an update is required and your device's MAC address mod 12 is this month (zero-indexed), it updates. This type of #distributed system allows for rolling updates, preserving some history in the event of an attack on the central system.
