Given an activitypub server only generally deals with activities it understands & stores data for things it cares about, logically I'd think it must be possible to just split replay all activities to each underlying instance, and to do actor merging at collection level or something.

Only the collection endpoints would be a bit problematic. So you'd probably need to give each server their own collections and rewrite their collection URLs
@futurebird Fun question. This circuit doesn't calculate Pascal's Triangle directly, but can be analyzed by it. When a ball bounces left or right down a lattice of pegs, Pascal's Triangle counts the number of paths to each peg. A 1-D random walk (i.e. 50-50 +1/-1) simulates such a bouncing ball. Here a bi-directional shift register is driven by a random bit source to track a ball's position as it makes seven steps. A bank of op-amp integrators captures the histogram.
