Still a word about the total lame references to peace that seemed charged with unsaid words, I felt especially embarrassed by #Portugal's Mimicat and Iolanda. If the issue was so important to you and you have such a one sided view, then go all the way and boycott it.
But just like the "online boycotters" they really wanted to be a part of #Eurovision, they just wanted to exclude others from it but unwilling to the minimum personal sacrifice. Shallow morals, deep ignorance, lame, embarrassing.
Putting aside all the monstrous differences between both situations it all comes down to the fact that several countries, including the big5, said they wouldn't participate at #Eurovision if Russia did. No country (not even Muslim #Albania and #Azerbaijan) did the same about Israel. And in the end all Western Europe and Australia gave 12 televote points to Israel.
So, let me get this straight. Russia invades and genocides Ukraine, then it's banned from #Eurovision. Israel invades and genocides Gaza... then it's 5th on the final poll. Please, tell me this is a joke, please :blobcatangery:
Ich denke Malmö und Schweden generell hat dieser ESC geschadet. Nach der laschen Handhabe gegen Koranverbrennungen, von denen nicht so viele Menschen Notiz nahmen, hat die ganze Welt gesehen, wie sich Rassismus und Antisemitismus dort breit gemacht haben.

#Eurovision is still an anachronistic political shitshow and while I am glad that Israel is not on the podium, it should have been straight up banned from the competition like Russia. As usual the EBU is worthless and hypocritical.

Overall there were so many really amazing songs!
My personal favorites were the Irish song and the one from Cyprus, but a bunch of others were outstanding as well including the Austrian entry that won.
Also I guess it is a sign of progress that the German entry the first time since years wasn't last xD
