All lovers of #democracy should try to visit the #EuropeanParliament in #Brussels where I brought #NazarsRock to help me focus my #intention that #Ukraine shall be welcomed into the #EuropeanUnion. I got teary-eyed when I saw the Ukrainian flag flapping alongside the flag of the EU flag outside the building. That’s not the case inside the visitor center where the flag display is limited to current members, but outside it was fantastic to see this EU gesture extended to Ukraine.
The visitor center was a moving experience. People lined up to take pictures with their flag in the member display, proud that their country is a member of the EU. Multimedia devices in many languages are provided so you can watch and listen to descriptions of the work of the European Parliament. The sculpture outside the main hall is called “Confluences” and it’s magnificent, as is the hall itself, seating over 700 representatives.

Four hours in bumper to bumper traffic on the #Serbia#Bulgaria border. I am laughing on the outside, but feel an immense anger at the wasted fossil fuels and lives for this European #Frontex nonsense. Every smug European needs to go through the non-Schengen borders with a non-EU passport at least once. Then talk about how the #WesternBalkans are not civilized enough to join. Especially those colonialists the Dutch.
