@KimPerales You would think the governor of a coastal state would be more attuned to a rising sea level, where even small changes can result in severe flooding.
By contrast, the elevation where I live in Colorado is over 6500 feet, so Florida would be long buried before the sea reaches us.

I love that NOAA had to recently create a Category 6 hurricane classification, because CAT 5 only has 157mph minimum wind speeds and they are seeing storms that are defined by the 192mph minimum wind speeds of the new classification. The law furthers limit local civilian police oversight boards by barring them from investigating allegations of police misconduct. Police unions support the law -it protects the rights of officers. Cities & counties in Florida can no longer mandate employers offer water, rest & shade to their outdoor employees on hot days, which are increasing due to #globalwarming.
Florida lawmakers want to grow the state’s National Guard. I'm all for that if it will help DOD and provide more support to our national military effort.

The FL DOH in Broward Co. said it's investigating several cases at an elementary school in Weston, FL. It said those at risk incl. those who haven't received the full measles, mumps, & rubella (MMR) vaccine series & those who're immunocompromised.

"The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Friday authorized Florida to directly import prescription drugs from Canada, making it the first state to gain such approval. Although Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the plan into law in 2019, it required federal review and approval by the FDA.
