Just because #Republicans are focused on #Trans people, they haven't forgotten their eventual desire to roll back the rights of other letters in #LGBTQ. #Colorado will have a fall ballot initiative to remove a defunct provision still in the state constitution about #marriage = 1 man + 1 woman. All the opposition to just getting that on the ballot came from #GOP state senators, who would love to have a time bomb ready to go off when #SCOTUS reviews #Obergefell ...
Also and I can’t stress this enough - the “violence” you’re seeing on campuses over the last few weeks? It’s because the cops are rolling in with their bullshit to break up peaceful demonstrations guaranteed by our fucking first amendment
No question about it, this happened at #UniversityOfColorado in #Denver today, 40 people arrested and hopefully the judge chucks the whole stupid shit out because PROTEST IS LEGAL. #Colorado

Pikes Peak has had a unusual amount of snow this year, and a month ago was sitting at over 190% of normal snowpack. Not my department, but perhaps there are some intrepid skiers out there noticing a rare line of snow from the top to treeline on the east side of the peak. This is the side that faces Colorado Springs, you can always check out the conditions up at 14,000 feet while you drive to the grocery store or whatever. My guess is things could be a wee bit sketchy on snow that freezes and thaws every day, but that’s why skis have edges, right? Warming temperatures are causing a steady rise in copper, zinc, and sulfate in the waters of Colorado mountain streams affected by acid rock drainage. Concentrations of these metals have roughly doubled in these alpine streams over the past 30 years, a new study finds, presenting a concern for ecosystems, downstream water quality, and mining remediation
