#NowPlaying - #bootleg of kevin ayers's 1970-1972 #bbc sessions, including a few tunes backed by the soft machine. great #prog / #canterbury fun with assertive weirdo hooks, if sometimes (like camelot) a bit silly. his voice shares something direct/plaintive with his soft machine bandmate robert wyatt that resonates with me deeply. @vinylrecords
#NowPlaying - a ground zero for so much, but why so many cowrites for kevin ayers & so few lead vocals? is it like the neil-young's-voice-was-too-weird-for-the-springfield thing or just cuz ayers was the new guy? and how many steps between "we did it again" & oneida's "sheets of easter"? @Corry342@vinylrecords#canterbury#prog

Avalanche Peak part three: the way down. Quite cruisy through Scott's track, watching this crazy Devils Punchbowl waterfall that was definitively worth a peek, despites the extra hiking time at the end of the walk. Absolutely mesmerising, one of the most beautiful waterfall I saw in Aotearoa. #hike#hiking#mountain#mountains#waterfall#nature#Canterbury#AvalanchePeak#Aotearoa#NewZealand#NZ
