@business In fact up until a few years ago #BurgerKing in #Germany did accept #USD besides #Euro - tho at a nominally bad exchange rate and they'd only give € in exchange but that was a thing.
They likely canceled that because Franchisees didn't like to deal with two currencies at the same time...

Burger King remains open as usual in Russia despite the brand's owner pledging to leave more than a year ago.
Restaurant Brands International (#RBI), which owns 15% of the fast-food's franchise business in Russia, told the BBC it had "no new updates to share at this time" on its exit.
The firm said in March 2022 that it had started the process to leave Russia.
The #BurgerKing corporation continues to operate in #Russia despite sanctions, hiding behind their "complicated" franchise agreements. Boycott these #Russian assets. Don't buy their products feeding the monsters invading their neighbor, committing war crimes & crimes against humanity until they act like they care.
