More industry layoffs happening, this time at #Bungie. Heart Machine has some job openings for anyone affected. Please consider applying!! www.heartmachine.com/careers
This stuff could and should be posted to their website and app first, but anywhere else but the obvious cesspool of Twitter.
Bungie needs to get on Mastodon. Or even Tumblr. But it's sad to see they keep supporting an objectively toxic property from a dangerous owner. #Destiny2
TBC: I get that some companies, artists, indies, etc. still believe they need Twitter as a channel. And of course some of them actually do - to this day some people get most or even all of their business through Twitter.
But given #Bungie's missions of inclusion and anti-hate, this seems... especially disappointing. They are absolutely not a neutral company, and it's one thing I like about them.
So why continue building on and, by extension, support such an awful, awful place? This sucks.
Good morning to all of you amazing folks around the #Fediverse today!
For our #MorningMoments today, let's talk about our plans for the day. Tell me what you've already accomplished or what you hope to accomplish before the day ends.
For me, it's just the usual work stuff, then video games. Most likely an hour or so of Destiny 2, then more Starfield.
Got a chance to run through the reprised Crota's End in Destiny 2 today.
There was a bug, that if you had a contest mode check point for Crota, and you killed Crota after contest mode was over, you still got the exotic weapon Necrochasm. That bug was patched within 20 minutes, but I got lucky!
For those of you following along at home, that incubation would be Bungie franchise number 3. And it would be the first "not-a-scifi-FPS" since before Halo.
I am hype. :Hype: You should be too. :sby_you: Come work with us. :madoka_here: It's fun :wizhappy:
I like #gaming social media challenges, so I'm going to cross one over I did a while back.
Being suppressed for the longest time, being able to escape into a game was the only way I could really see and express myself. So, I sought out games with female characters.
So, this is my personal female #VideoGame character celebration challenge.
List a game for every letter of the alphabet. #AtoZ
The game must meet the following criteria:
Must have a playable female character
Must be a game I have personally played
Each day will bring with it a different game for each letter. Can I get the whole alphabet filled?
(EDIT: Thread is complete. If I'm boosting it. It's probably because I felt it was relevant at the time)
Finally got around to playing Oni. (Awesome box pictured in prior toot) About half way through the game so far and I'm actually enjoying it a lot more than I did back in the day.
Back when I first got it, I think I got to the third mission and just quit. This time I went in and actually took the time to learn the hand to hand combat system, and I'm kinda digging it.
The game definitely suffered from some development hell, and it looks more like a 1997-1998 game than a 2001 game, but it's got some potential. I would actually love to see an Oni remake.
