It is difficult to come out of the cult.

Any cult. Especially religious communities, because often this is people's whole world.

I understand. I made this journey.

It's a terrible feeling when you discover it (the religion story) was all a lie. It is overwhelming.

But know in your life the sincere feelings and life experiences were real.

I'm sorry that I have to be the one to inform you.

The religion is a lie.

Know there is hope. There is love. It doesn't have to based on lies.

What people want is hope and love. That is what is promised in religion. Sadly that's what keeps folks stuck there.

The community of science, techies, artist, musicians and other learned and free spirits will accept you and offer friendships and if you're willing to hear ... there will be truth and facts. And long long deep breath of freedom.

@skykiss Always easy to follow, not so easy to think if you really should. Humans being humans the easy route is the one of least resistance, so to follow often because the default. Stopping up once in a while and think for oneself is so very important, acting on it even more so.....

lpah4all,

@skykiss But this love and my personal evolution are very real, my friend. And you have forgotten one crucial fact: you can't prove a negative. No one loves science more than I do, and, just like Einstein, I understand there to be a Creator who is beyond our comprehension, who has set us standards of behavior in order that we create peace and happiness for everyone on this beautiful planet. You are mistaking the charlatans for the real thing, and have decided there's no real thing. Your choice.

@lpah4all I'm not sure what your talking about. I'm stating facts religion is a lie. It crumbles under any scientific or basic factual scrutiny. The religion is a lie meant for power and control over the masses. I’m so sick of the proselytizing. I don’t want their religion, they can keep it to themselves.

Separately and not mentioned in my post to which you replied...
Many spiritual based beliefs are real ... such as native Americans. Energy is real, spirit is real. Yoga is real. @skykiss

lpah4all,

@skykiss You are free to believe what you choose, but I have experienced many affirmations of traditions that teach how to become immersed in love. As well, I have seen many, many of them perverted by selfish liars. Of course the Native American's had Messengers of God, all cultures do, at all times. And I have lived with kundalini yoga folks and know that stretching is fine, but what you chant can be problematic. This from their own words. You can't prove a negative. "The Way goes in." --Rumi
