The instance I'm on is looking for new owners at the moment and may shut down with 3 months notice. It's been a small place I've enjoyed it a lot and I'm thankful for the admin and moderators that have run it thus far. I had been noodling moving for a while when I branched my account out from being XIV specific 😅. I'm looking to migrate to @akarirho to give their mastodon instance a try so apologies in advance for follow requests you may receive as part of the process 🙏 🥺
@akarirho I've also been on the fence a bout branching out a separate art account from the XIV and other stuff but I kind of like having one account to talk to everyone on and think I'll keep them together for now unless people start to find/ have found the mix of the two annoying 😅
@Akari Think it's okay to have all in one, having several accounts for different purposes myself I tend to pay attention to one and use others for lurking.
Mastodon mostly for relevant news, Kbin for news and Arknights magazine/community/forum also it's different than microblogs in nature so there is that. Misskey is my main for now as I try to "collect" arknights fan art and share across my other 2 accounts. So having another account just for game relevant stuff is tad silly unless you want that separation between normal account and fun account. Anyway don't forget to export your notes and subscriptions in options, will be too late when you missing something when switching/transferring and server had shutdown by that point.:ablobcat_cheer:
@Kotking thanks for the detailed thoughts! They make a ton of sense, I have a few other accounts on different instances but they all kinda turned out like you said and I never really kept up with them. I’ll definitely make sure to export my data (really appreciate the reminder)
