@SrRochardBunson This piece argues that Bonk is the basic building block of the universe. However, Frank Zappa argued that the basic building block is Stupidity. This I have accepted based on Zappa's cosmic authority and my own experience, but now I am experiencing cognitive dissonance. Is it possible that Bonk equals/not equals Stupidity? Of course, in Lacanian terms, "Stupidity" is a social judgment, a product of the Big Other, while Bonk may be an expression of the Real.
@SrRochardBunson@ErickaSimone OK, I make no promises, but I have made a beat in Hydrogen and I have gathered the words of this conversation to process into lyrical profundity. What I may do is put whatever I come up with on soundcloud as a downloadable file so that others can take a Bonk at it.
OK, here is my first Bonk attempt. It is on Soundcloud. It is downloadable if someone wants to add to it or possess it. I had fun. I did the beat in Hydrogen, a drum machine program, and then used Dexed for the synth. The bass is my Ibanez TM-30. I worked pretty fast. I cobbled words together from the whole conversation. I tried to give everyone credit.
@SrRochardBunson@axwax@ErickaSimone@courtcan Yes, that was my intention. That was how I first met you folks, so I thought a similar collaborative process was in order. My "singing" was a little ragged, but the rest of it came out ok.

I put a version of the backing track without the words up on Soundcloud as well and now guitar players on TDPRI, the Fender Telecaster site, are putting their own leads and sounds on it. Two players so far, but I think there will be more. That interaction is going on here:
OK, here's a version with two guitars instead of words. One side is pretty clean and the other has a LFO-driven filter on it. It is sort of psychedelic.
@SrRochardBunson Yeah, but to make Bonk you have to have a .wav file, or maybe flac or something and it has to have a name or your computer can't read it. So such a file is an iteration, a reflection, a representation, an echo of the eternal Amber of Bonk. Or so it seems to me.
