I am a straight man, born man, who has always identified as male (biologically, mentally, and emotionally), who likes women, but that does not mean I need to be a woman or a member of the LGBTQ+ community to want people to have equality, including equal rights and treatment and opportunities too.
It is called being a human being. Something does not need to directly impact me or affect me, for me to have empathy, sympathy, and compassion toward others.
If Linus Tech Tips isn't treating their employees fairly & equally, I have no desire to support, endorse, or promote Linus Tech Tips, even if in the past I found them to be entertaining
The whole not 100% accurate drama, I could chuck up as human error or even mild incompetence. The whole stolen property, sold at auction drama, I could perhaps dismiss as one hand not knowing what the other is doing in a corporation
But hostile working environment along with sexual harassment can't be ignored

@rail For my little part, I have been going back and reviewing LTT videos.
The 1 thing I notice is in 10+ years there have been few (very few) women employed by LTT who were staring in their videos who were not one of the wives.
Those few who have started in the video start off looking excited to be there, but over time don't look so happy, and then they're gone from the public view.
Plus, the 1 public trans employee seems to be missing in action one month after coming out (Anthony / Emily).
@joel@error420@rail A few of the cast members have experienced having their spouses featured on Linus Tech Tips. However, having a group of wives appearing as the only long-term staring regulars, does not project LTT as an equal opportunity company in my opinion, especially since in 10+ years, the few non-wives were few and far between, for only brief moments in time -alongside the current claims of hostile working environment and sexual harassment, plus audio records, employees speaking up.

@Linux_Is_Best@joel@error420@rail I only heard about all this the other day. My goodness. I was never a big watcher of LTT, but I used to like Emily because she would cover Linux (from the perspective of someone who actually liked Linux). I think the last LTT videos I watched was Linus butchering his Linux trial use a year or two ago. It did not endure me to him or his channel. That said, those work environment accusations are disconcerting.

I get it may be for context in this particular case. It usually brings pain and hard psychological stress on the person. Just sharing knowledge and not trying to teach a lesson here tho, us trans people get deadnamed all the times and it really hurts.

I feel since Emily seems to have dropped off from sight after coming out, and since their video wasn't actually party of the LTT video lineup, most may not know all the details, and may still think "Anthony." For the context, I wanted it clear they had transitioned, while making the reference.
