@LALegault now you know why i became a blogger. i read 5 languages, so my blog became a place to report and analyze news that were ignored or white-washed by American media.
and this was back in the day without VPNs when geolocation was aggressively imposed, especially by news orgs like the BBC. we hacked our way anyway.
then i got co-bloggers who read other languages as well and these newspapers NOTICED our traffic & had to reckon.
we first wave bloggers smashed those geoblockers down.

It is really curious that in a country armed to the teeth with advanced weaponry, that it took about 12 hours for its military to respond.
C'mon - I am sure their listening devices heard explosions, that its attacked outposts called HQ, and that settlers in neighboring towns heard and saw explosions.
@nilsskirnir they were abandoned. Here is a video of a family member of one of the victims and a nurse chasing an Israeli Minister out of the hospital.
@LALegault But Israel has tons of helicopters and aircraft and it isn't all that big. Could have flown hundreds of troops to Gaza area within two hours.

@nilsskirnir@LALegault of course, directing all the popular aggression of Israel towards the aggressors of Hamas and Gaza is a political win for Netanyahu.  He has gone from having a split government to a ferocious vengeful united front against Hamas.
He needed a proper war, and he has got one.
@nilsskirnir@LALegault They have several silent dissidents in their defense forces, in their government offices & in their general population. I wouldn't be surprised if we find out, several years later, part of it included help from disgruntled dissidents from Israel.

Even the citizens knew about what is happening, Hamas killed and kidnapped the leaders of the forces in the area, and the soldiers in charge of monitoring the state of things, setting traps for forces that tried to reach the areas attacked.

@LALegault It really isn't. Either you're for liberating the people or you aren't. Unless there's another consistent that's guiding your political views.
