A few weeks ago, I noticed this varied thrush outside my window. I grabed my camera and rushed downstairs. I have been trying to get decent photos of this bird for years. Not yet the type of photos I'm looking for but the ''best'' one so far.
Notice how green the grass is in early January on Vancouver Island 😛
@tantramar I prefer the winters here as I get older (not that I am old 😉). I have spoken to Maritimers who moved back from VanIsle to the Maritimes because they couldn't stand the rain in the winter. They prefered the snow 🤷♀️
@CatherineBabault the gloom and rain is a thing; don’t remember ever having to shovel rain. On the other hand, we haven’t really had any snow here yet this winter. :\
@tantramar You guys should be freezing and under 3 metres of snow right now 😁 This is our weather forecast. That would explain why everything is green here... in the rainforest 😉
