I am a little skeptical for one reason alone. I've listened to a few interviews with the founder, and I am getting a lot of the painkiller-induced, crypto-bro, everything-sucks-let-me-fix-it narrative, which I don't think I enjoy.
Daylight is like what the reMarakable would have looked like, if it were funded solely on Bitcoin.
@glynmoody The real Satoshi is sitting on a heap of BTC and could prove themselves at any point by signing a transaction. Some blockchain folk are not driven purely by money.
@michal@kravemir Toto srovnání je taky celkem mimo. Banky nezaměstnávají miliony lidí, aby realizovali transakce, na to stačí "pár" ajťáků. Lidi v bance zaměstnávají hlavně hypotéky, podnikatelské úvěry, investice, pojištění... S tímhle BTC nijak nepomůže.
@miroslavbucek@michal Fixní zásoba BTC není výhoda, ale naopak obrovský problém. Správná měna má zajistit stálost cen a na to je potřeba, aby peněžní zásoba rostla s výkonem ekonomiky. V případě fixní peněžní zásoby a růstu ekonomiky bychom měli divokou deflaci, která je stejně špatná jako divoká inflace. Proto BTC nikdy nebude primární měnou a bude to jen vedlejší investiční/spekulativní aktivum.

In der Schweiz liegt die Grenze der Geringfügigkeit bei 300 Franken. Darüber reicht eine einfache Meldung an die Polizei und die müssen sich von Amtes wegen dem annehmen. Darunter müsst ihr selbst Strafantrag stellen, was aufwändiger ist.

Why limited edition:
Because they do take time to make. I do invest energy, time, love, creativity in making them. I also want to remain creative. Limiting the output will force me to innovate and continue designing different ones, keeping me challenged and getting my brain juices flowing.
