If the Timbers vs San Jose results stand, this has been the worst start (in terms of points earned) in their first 13 regular season games since 2012 where they only earned 13 points.
Right now, Timbers have 12 points going into the match and, if the current 2-0 loss stands, will finish 13 games with 12 points.
So I know #MLS brought in some of those time-wasting rules they use in the reserve league, but in watching games last week and tonight, it seems that the referees are not… say… UNIFORMLY enforcing them. They seem to be more sticklers about it in MLS Next Pro.
@bedirthan It's infuriating. I find myself finding other things to do during matches because I can't bear to watch the team underperform last year's mediocrity.
Ugh… I wish I was still on twitter so that I could @ Herculez Gomez, who rambled on "Futbol Americas" about how he couldn't watch El Trafico over the weekend on vacation in Hawaii… even though the game was broadcast nationally on FOX… including the Honolulu affiliate KHON.
@reesecommabill I saw national writers claim that the USL is more accessible because they had their first game on CBS, ignoring that MLS has had at least 3 games on FOX so far this season
@reesecommabill Should never have been a penalty to begin with. This referee is total garbage. I’ve never seen such a shit-show of a half of officiating.
@chrishuck@reesecommabill Yeah, he launched that. Not sure why we had the guy who just came in taking that, but that's where with our scoring so far. But maybe the end of the game was us figuring something out. Tough to tell with how horrible the game was called tonight. Seems like rarely did more than a couple of minutes go by without a stoppage by the ref.
I still can’t believe that other sports don’t function like #mls and provide all games without blackouts to streaming subscribers. The blackouts is 100% what keeps me from buying the #mlb subscription.
If I can’t watch from home, I'm not going to get into the fandom, and I'm not going to end up buying tickets to a game because I'm not emotionally invested.
I wish #Mozilla would have a clear and consistent direction, and commit to it. Discontinuing services like Mozilla Location Services (#MLS) is disappointing, and very google-like. IMHO developing privacy-respecting alternatives to existing commercial APIs should be precisely where their focus lies considering how quickly they’re loosing market share with #Firefox ... 🤷🏽♂️

I watched NE vs CIN just to see why 9 yellow cards were handed out in the 2H. That ref was bad; it was either no foul or yellow. And it probably didn’t help that Mark Geiger as VAR was overruling stuff on the field. It looked like coaches Porter and Noonan were commiserating with each other at the end of the game. And here I thought the ref in CLB vs NY match was garbage… supposedly with 13 years in the league? How? #MLS has a major problem with refs that is starting to look like what has happened with umpires in MLB.
