App Review rejected my macOS menu bar app, Done, because the “app menu is missing the required Quit option.“
However, the app allows a quit operation by right clicking the menu bar app icon and choosing quit. Do menu bar apps usually support other methods to quit? Is it possible they didn’t try this?
I’m working on a new macOS menu bar app that’s all about tracking tasks. But it’s not a todo app. Huh?

A friend told me I could “totally get a job as an iOS developer” given I’ve published several apps with a decent amount of polish.
I replied that my apps prove I can tinker until something works, but I would brilliantly fail a developer interview since I’ve never truly studied development from a professional perspective.
I also constantly wonder if I did iOS development as my profession, would it drain all the enjoyment I get from it? There’s something to be said about why hobbies are hobbies and the ability to work at them at your own pace and in your own style …
@brandonhorst It’s the balance of education vs real world experience I guess. It feels like employers are caring less about the formal education bit and more about the individual’s potential. At least the companies I’d be interested in would function that way.
