In case you're looking for a way to discourage AI bots from scraping your site's content, I installed this #WordPress plugin, and it's pretty cool.

I realize that https://browsehappy.com/ was built to get users off old browsers. But it feels wrong that the #WordPress project is still actively recommending Chrome.

Just assisted someone setting up a blog on wordpress.com. i was expecting it to be a smooth experience, but it was not.

Compared to self-hosted WP, the UI is a convoluted mess of upsells, additional navigation, poorly thought-out onboarding and even some AI bullshit.

Hmm, the #WordPress Photo Directory just declined two images I submitted for being "minor variation of something you have already had published". Both absolutely weren't. Have to admit this is a little frustrating.

Google has taken its terrible Topics API out of "trial" status, and enabled it for the majority of Chrome users.

I'd encourage anyone to switch to Firefox*. And if you run a WordPress website, it's time to protect your visitors by adding the opt-out header:

• I know there are more privacy-conscience browsers. Using Firefox also helps browser diversity, which is why I recommend it.

After years of deliberating and building, and many, many millions of euros spent, the big public transportation overhaul in my region is almost complete.

Its main purpose was to make travel faster.

Result: it takes 10 minutes longer for me to get to Utrecht.
