More than ever we need to use alternatives.
Google with AI sounds super scary. And it is. You should consider moving to DuckDuckGo which works really well.
Chrome. lol. You should use Firefox instead.
Microsoft with AI? It has never been a better time to use Linux.
Strongly considering starting yet another version of Monica. I fear the new version is too complex and adds too much customization capabilities.
A new version, with only the core features, with simple technologies, without Vue, only Laravel + Blade + HTMX when needed. The simplest possible stack.
@stefanzweifel Oh! It made me realize that Plexamp exists for macOS with the iOS app, and it's great since I used the plex web version which is not as good as the dedicated music app.
It's not a popular opinion amongst movie lovers, but while Children of men is a good movie with 2 excellent scenes, I don't understand why it's classified as almost a masterpiece.
What should I know before open-sourcing my program?
My goal is to improve it by letting people submit changes, and making it easier for me to ask for help. I would still make the final call on decisions.
(Blog posts welcome! Boost if you care. The program is @songpocket)
The more I think about it, the more I think that Oppenheimer earning 1B$ last year was a big misunderstanding.
Honestly. It was a decent movie. But it was 1) way too long, 2) a bit boring, 3) not visually appealing (no clue why you would want to see it in IMAX).
Nolan without his brother is not a great director.
@stefanzweifel@robb I've been using Raycast for a year. It has completely replaced Alfred for me.
Also, AI integration inside Raycast is truly the secret weapon. I thought it was a gimmick - how wrong I was.
I've recently started watching Yellowstone, the TV show, and I must say, it's been a great experience.
I just finished the first season and it's incredibly well-written and directed. Characters have depth. It's refreshing to come across such high-quality shows, and I understand the hype.
@ivomynttinen You just have to consider that owning your own music means no possibility to discover new music.
I don't mind personally. But some people do.
I'll be aware of new music through other channels - dedicated podcasts, some subreddits, newsletters.
It's so great to be independent again in my music consumption. I truly feel free - weird things to say about music, but still.
