I was interviewed on our Titas of BTS radio show on Stationhead about fangirling at my age. I just used the mic of my mobile phone, not even a headset. It was an interesting experience. We talked about biases (Suga and V), favorite album (mine is LY: Answer), how I made new ARMY friends since joining the group/other social media, ARMY retail therapy, Run BTS, etc. Listeners asked questions in the chat comments. I was stumped by, "What's your theory about Yoongi's unexplained photo shoots?"

I loved seeing the guys all together, even though there are now only 4 of them. I felt a little sad the hyungs were elsewhere, but I know they're keeping an eye on the maknaes. Yes, Namjoon is a maknae too, hahaha, the maknae of the hyungs. #BTS

Oh heavens. I ordered a 50ml ink from one of my favorite local ink makers and he included a (wait for it) bottle of Pen and Message Cigar in my package! That's my absolute grail ink. I have messaged him to ask if it was a mistake and if I could pay for it in case he wanted to sell it.

This was at 9am. Everything beyond the gate is white with volcanic smog. It's also raining. Possibly acid rain. Classes in some areas of Metro Manila, Batangas, Cavite and Laguna have been suspended for poor air quality. We're staying indoors.

When I joined Mastodon last November I took my time learning how to use it. While I felt some things weren't intuitive, It helped that at the time I wasn't limited by too-specific/narrow interests. By using hashtags to search for topics and following people I was able to create a timeline that was interesting FOR ME. Later on I moved from a big server to a smaller, fandom-related one, and am able to enjoy Mastodon as a primary social medium. I just need to emphasize that IT WASN'T DIFFICULT.

I took a walk this morning and managed half a kilometer, but slipped on a rock, tore my jeans and possibly sprained or fractured my right wrist. Going to the hospital in a while, to see the doctor and get an x-ray.

Finally, after 26 hours, internet speed is back to normal. The signal earlier was so weak it wouldn't even register as one bar. Or it would be one bar on and off. I could barely work. Sigh. My mom is relieved that she can watch her sageuk drama tonight.

Back from the hospital, where I spent all day at the ER. Had several xrays done, which confirmed that I broke my wrist. They put my arm in a cast and a sling, then told me I needed an operation to put metal pins in my wrist. Will see orthopedix surgeon on Monday to discuss the operation. Am on antibiotics and painkillers. Just glad to be back home.

Last night's operation was sucessful! I now have a cyborg right wrist. A titanium plate and screws are holding my wrist together. Thankfully I did not require a bone graft. It's 630am. Hopefully I get to go home later this afternoon.

My purple Aeropress is here! I have taken to calling it my "Bora-press", because bora is purple in Korean. It no longer comes with the funnel or the 350 filters+case, but I have those from my old classic Aeropress (which still works fine, by the way, I was just after the pretty) in case I need them.

Opened the 100g tasting pack of Ethiopia Guji Shakiso coffee beans this morning. It's about 8 days from roast date. It's got a lovely flavor. The tasting notes are supposed to be ripe prunes, dark chocolate, berries, honey, peach, floral. My palate isn't that sophisticated, but I can pick up the honey and peach. The floral part and natural sweetness comes out as you let the coffee cool. It's great to drink black, it's balanced and not too acidic. Such a treat.

Pinoy friends, do you use a mini vacuum cleaner for your laptop / keyboards/ desk? If so, what do you use? I realized I could also use one for when I deep clean my manual coffee grinder.
