Enjoyed BTS Bangbangcon 2024. Ate sporadically throughout. Loved the Red Bullet Tour. Reinforces my love for the Dark and Wild album. Felt quite tender towards crybaby Jungkook, and admired Taehyung's warm and sincere ments. But! Yoongi's Seesaw was one of the highlights in my day.
Back from the hospital. Splint was removed and I got to look at my surgical wound and it's healed nicely! Now doing "close-open" finger exercises. Next week I see the Rehab Med doctor.
I let my Weverse membership lapse after Festa 2022. Now that Jin's coming home I thought I'd renew. Was frustrated waiting for an sms authentication code, until I read it may go to Whatsapp. What do you know, it was sent there indeed.
Last night's operation was sucessful! I now have a cyborg right wrist. A titanium plate and screws are holding my wrist together. Thankfully I did not require a bone graft. It's 630am. Hopefully I get to go home later this afternoon.
Last night my mom and I finished watching Dr. Cha. It was funny and dramatic and full of life lessons. We enjoyed it. We then started watching Extraordinary Atty. Woo, which my mom really enjoyed as well. She'll have to wait until I'm home from the hospital on Tuesday, so we can resume watching. It's been difficult to get her to watch modern contemporary Kdramas because she prefers the sageuk costume dramas, but I realize I need to look for dramas with strong female leads.
Been listening to RPWP and find it very interesting. You can see the musical styles of RM's collaborators but his artistic vision is definitely steering the boat. It's certainly different. Can't say what my favorites are yet, I need to listen more.
Had a CT scan done on my wrist. Lab results are in, my numbers are pretty normal for my age and size. Was worried I might find out I am diabetic, but I am not, so yay! Will be admitted Sunday afternoon. Surgery will be Monday afternoon. Tuesday I go home.
My niece Olivia will be awarded with Highest Honors at her high school graduation on Monday! These are presented to students with grades of 95% or higher. Only two of them got it in her section. So proud of our mighty girl!!!
Am always ravenous and dead tired coming from the hospital. Got clearances for surgery from cardiologist and lab work. Christine gave me a haircut and helped me wash my hair. I feel human again.
Back from the hospital, where I spent all day at the ER. Had several xrays done, which confirmed that I broke my wrist. They put my arm in a cast and a sling, then told me I needed an operation to put metal pins in my wrist. Will see orthopedix surgeon on Monday to discuss the operation. Am on antibiotics and painkillers. Just glad to be back home.
I took a walk this morning and managed half a kilometer, but slipped on a rock, tore my jeans and possibly sprained or fractured my right wrist. Going to the hospital in a while, to see the doctor and get an x-ray.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Active arrived today (after I just ordered it yesterday). I thought I'd get it as I'm fairly sedentary and need to get some form of regular exercise while not enrolled in a gym. So I'll start with twice a day 30-minute walks and see how that goes.
Realized there was still some time left on the last day of the payday sale, so I got a couple of Zulu watch straps for my Seiko military watch. These are China-made, so I'm not sure the hardware will be good, but am willing to try. My last one came from overseas too, but a bit more expensive. I have been rotating between 3 watch straps for the past 3 years and two are looking a bit worn out.
