@lhp Very cool! My father actually made some art pieces long time ago with that wax melting process. I've always wondered if you could use a printer with some low melting point filament as a "modernized" version of that process, maybe I'll try one day.
Would be curious to see your signet ring, when you have it done!
One field of use for #tcl that I think people might find surprising is that it mixes well with #nix , at least to me.
Tcl in #nixos has few dependencies, so you can use it for miscellaneous scripts without feeling bad about it.
When doing Nix stuff you can easily get into a few layers of quoting, something Tcl's syntax handles better than the shell code people instinctively reach for.
Tcl excels at orchestrating and composing system commands, again a typical Nix concern.
Finally, even though the programming model could be said to be the inverse of functional programming, on a superficial level I think Nix code and Tcl have a shared aesthetic, they just look good together. π
@lhp For now at least that seemed like the easiest way to set a wallpaper. Cairo is nice, but the zig bindigs are quite out of date or have at least not been updated in a while as far as I can tell.
@lhp Just getting back to this. I started to fix the #zig#cairo bindings which use deprecated zig methods, but havn't really be able to make it work. Maybe I should start looking for more maintained alternatives?

The #Forgejo monthly update was published β¨ It is a high level overview of the project activities.
NLnet awarded a grant to Forgejo to develop its release process and additional features, starting June 2023. User blocking was implemented to protect repositories you own from unwanted interactions, an essential self-service moderation tool. An extended installation section was added to the documentation as well as a user and admin documentation for Forgejo Actions.
