    perhaps this would work for the menus:

    Accessible default sites have no JavaScript. Instead, at the top of each page, they place a link to a footer sitemap. This link uses the link trick.

    An example is:

    I wonder if there's a site somewhere listing federated alternatives to the centralised services we use.

    Twitter = Mastodon

    Instagram = Pixelfed

    Reddit = Lemmy

    etc.

    It would be useful to see feature comparisons between them, and where gaps exist maybe this would encourage a federated effort to eventually close those gaps.

    try searching any app you'd like to replace on https://alternativeto.net/ and they will give recommendations and sometimes reviews of popular alternatives.

    You can even filter alternatives by "free" or "open source"
